Custom gamification concepts to show off benefits of new Ariel Nanopod

Challenge

To coincide with the launch of the new Ariel Nanopod washing machine product, communicate the top 4 benefits of the Nanopod in an way that engages then effortlessly informs visitors.

Opportunity

Use a blend of novel technology echoing a futuristic lab environment to host bespoke gamifications that communicate the brands product features.

Stain Removal Stage

The user is directed to move multiple floating water droplets around the transparent screen and use them to touch (instantly dissolve) as many tumbling sachet’s as they can in 15 seconds.

Residues Stage

Turn the dial to zoom into the shirt on the big screen to inspect the residue on the shirt’s green stripe.

A layer of infographics appear (in the Nanopod TV AD graphic style) on the transparent screen highlighting tiny powder residues on the green stripe of the shirt.  Turn another 0 - 100% dial and watch the residue fade off.

Dosing Stage

As the level on the Nanopod shaped ‘bar’ rises, let go of the dial at just the right moment or else you risk overfilling it or underfilling it. Three attempts.

Instant Dissolution Stage

JWI and Be Experiential wanted us to help Ariel communicate to visitors, the top 4 benefits of the new Ariel Nanopod product as part of their launch event at Ain Dubai Wheel.

An interactive OLED screen controlling a big LED screen, provided the stage for this communication.  This particular combination of technology, was inspired by the technology featured in the official Ariel Nanopod Promo Film.

Also taking visual graphic inspiration from the promo film, I came up with 4 unique gamification concepts based around Ariel Nanopod product benefits and led the design and programming teams in putting together the experiences.
